The market image of the photovoltaic sector for 2021 is characterized as positive by market sources, a year in which it is estimated that the new facilities are expected to reach 1 GW.
It is noted that by the end of October, according to official data of HEDNO, about 600MW of new projects were connected, of which the vast majority, about 450MW, were related to projects that were installed in 2020 and connected this year. As for the characteristics of the new projects, most of them were small projects from 500KW to 1 MW. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the self-generating market is expected to double in size in 2021 compared to 2020, reaching 35MW.
Finally, it is noted that according to data recently presented by the president of RAE regarding RES projects that have received producer certification / production licenses, in the field of photovoltaics 2706 applications have been satisfied with a total power of 59GW.
