OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF PHOTOVOLTAIC STATIONS

Regular maintenance of PV stations is a basic and necessary condition to ensure the uninterrupted and smooth operation of the facilities, as well as to avoid possible loss of production and revenue for the client.

SPYROPOULOS SA has its own fleet of service vans equipped with the necessary measuring instruments and tools (such as thermal cameras, pv tester, weather station, etc.) and can respond immediately and efficiently to the maintenance needs of its clients’ PV stations throughout Greece.

Preventive semi-annual maintenance of PV stations includes visual and quality control, electrical measurements, thermal camera controls, filter cleaning, moving parts lubrication and small-scale interventions to all PV station equipment such as support bases, wiring, earthing, housings, AC / DC boards, alarm system, CCTV and telemetry.

In PV facilities connected to the Medium Voltage grid, preventive annual maintenance is provided,

which includes visual inspection, size measurements, thermal camera controls, lubrication of metal parts and cleaning of the medium voltage hive, the transformer and the self-consumption boards.

A maintenance contract is a prerequisite for claiming compensation from insurance companies for possible damage.

A lifespan of
at least 20 years

PV stations are investments with a lifespan of at least 20 years. Their facilities are constantly exposed to extreme weather conditions and natural phenomena, resulting in long-term stress on electromechanical and other equipment.

Why maintain a PV station?

  • Immediate damage detection and rapid restoration
  • Maximization of the efficiency of the PV station
  • Ensuring the proper operation of the facility, avoiding loss of production and respective revenue
  • Minimization of the frequency of failures and malfunctions in equipment, as well as of operating costs
  • Reduction of the chance of accidents
  • Slowing down the aging process of the equipment and extending the life cycle of the installation
  • Preparation of technical reports to banking institutions and insurance companies in case of compensation claims
  • Keeping a history of production and interventions, useful for drawing conclusions and predictions for the operation of the station based on statistical models
  • Minimization of the client engagement time
