Greece is one of only 12 countries worldwide where the intended targets for the development of wind and photovoltaic energy by 2030 are in line with the criteria considered necessary by the International Energy Agency (IEA) to the global climate targets.

According to the recent Ember report, these countries include Greece, and it is pointed out that our country, along with 21 other countries, in addition to compliance with the targets, is advanced in the design and implementation of Renewable Energy (REN) projects, exceeding what is necessary to the goals they have set for 2030.

An additional important feature that distinguishes Greece is its ambitious targets in the renewable energy sector, with the expectation of reaching 80% share in its energy mixed electricity.
