Last year, Greece had a RES rate of 28.7% in the electricity generation mix, as Ember reports in a new report, a fact that ranks it eighth internationally and first in SE Europe.

More specifically, the percentage of winds rose to 20%, eighth worldwide, and to photovoltaics 9%, ie twelfth worldwide.

In the case of SE Europe, the share of RES was 14.5% last year in Croatia, 14% in Romania, 13.9% in Cyprus, 8.7% in Montenegro and 6.2% in Bulgaria, while the rest of the countries had less than 3%.
