An interesting initiative for the promotion of wind energy was undertaken by ELETAEN, publishing a short video, which captures the most important benefits of wind energy for consumers and the country.

With global power consumption up 226% from 1990 to 2018, wind energy can play a key role in meeting today’s growing energy needs in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. At the same time, as underlined, the development of the sector is expected to generate 5,100 new jobs with a ratio of 1.8 employees per MW produced.

At the same time, electricity generated by the “wind” is up to 60% cheaper than Lignite, which is a significant relief for consumers, as well as an important tool for tackling energy poverty.

According to the latest available data for the previous year, the share of wind energy in electricity consumption reached 15% in 2020.
