First the wind and then the photovoltaic seem to be the order in the ranking of 2020 in terms of the newly installed power added to the system, according to the data of DAPEEP, as reflected in the latest bulletin of November 2020.

Specifically, in the period January – November 2020, the wind capacity of the country increased by 442.75 MW, followed by photovoltaics with an additional capacity of 394.28MW.

Without expecting significant changes with the addition of the relevant data of December, the total installed capacity in the category of wind is 4,064.25 MW (from 3,621.5 MW) and photovoltaic to 2,832.18 MW (from 2,427.9 MW ), including both the Interconnected System and the Unconnected System.

Regarding the rest of the renewable energy technology, there are no significant differences in the eleven months January – November 2020 and the picture is as follows:

Photovoltaics on roofs: 375.34MW from 375.2MW in January 2020

MUSE: 243.3MW from 241.3MW

Biogas-Biomass: 96.41MW from 89.4MW

YVS / RES: 2.95MW from 2.95MW

SITHYA & Distributed SITHYA: 234.65MW from 233.4MW

In total numbers, DAPEEP estimates the total installed capacity of RES technologies throughout the country at 7,849 MW and the corresponding energy production at 14,427 GWh for 2020.
