With an amendment submitted to a bill of the Ministry of Digital Governance that is in Parliament, RIS finally legislates what Mr. Skrekas had previously announced, for the possibility of natural or legal persons to install photovoltaics up to 500 Kilowatts out of competitive procedures, under the tender procedures. do not already have 2 projects of such technology out of competitions.

According to the amendment, any natural or legal person, directly or indirectly through its participation in the management or as a shareholder, partner or member of a legal entity with any percentage of participation, is prohibited from concluding an operating aid contract outside of tendering procedures, provided that the following conditions:

· Already owns two projects of the same technology under an operating aid contract outside of competitive procedures; and

· These technologies are enhanced through competitive bidding processes.

A provision is also being introduced to remove “injustices of the past” for small photovoltaics on non-interconnected islands from the time of the new deal. Specifically in the non-interconnected islands for some cases of photovoltaics a tariff increase of 10% is given.

Another article gives the possibility to old RES projects whose license included the construction of an interconnection cable, to be constructed without the obligation of a cable, if the respective islands have been interconnected or are interconnected.

Also, the fixed assets of HEDNO of Crete are transferred to IPTO and all issues related to the operation of the electricity market of Crete are regulated until the complete interconnection of the island.

Finally, it is possible to assign to the Technical Chamber of Greece the responsibilities for energy saving actions and energy efficiency, especially the management of programs such as “I save”.
